The Arundel High School Marching Band will host the U.S. Bands Preview of Champions Competition on Saturday October 31 at 4:00. The show will take place on Carroll Field at Arundel High School.
18 pre-eminent marching bands from as far away as New York will compete in various size classes. For Arundel and the other schools, this competition will be a prelude to the National Competition on November 7 at MetLife stadium in New Jersey.
Arundel’s Band Director Ian Burns has been working with his students since mid-August. This year’s 2015 field show is futuristic and riveting, “Glitch” is one you don’t want to miss! “A Glitch is a short-lived fault in a system. It is often used to describe a transient fault that corrects itself, and is therefore difficult to troubleshoot...” Watch as the chaos and fun unfolds!
When asked about the 2015 Arundel Marching Band Season Mr. Burns stated, “It has been a strong start to the season and is great to have a bigger band with more students than we have in the last 5 years. The students are hard working, sound better than ever and I am excited to see some great performances this fall!”
Arundel took 2nd place on October 24 at the Bands by the Bay Competition at Broadneck High School and captured Best Percussion.
Please join us on October 31! Tickets are $15 at the gate.
