Arundel Middle School Briefly Loses Power

Heavy rain and wind caused a power outage this morning at Arundel Middle School, but service has been restored. 

The lights went out at about 9:30 a.m., but came back on within about 15 minutes, a school secretary said. The school is operating on its normal schedule. 

BGE is reporting about 4,500 residents in Anne Arundel County without power, or about half of the total number of outages among customers in the Baltimore region. According to a map of BGE outages, there could be as many as 500 outages in and around Odenton.
