Arundel Mills Police Chase Ends With Arrest Of Georgia Man: Officers
A police chase through Arundel Mills mall ended with an arrest. The disorderly Georgia man had a BB gun, officers said.

HANOVER, MD — A police chase through Arundel Mills mall ended with an arrest this week, a press release announced. Officers said the disorderly suspect had a BB gun. Authorities identified the arrestee as 38-year-old Kevin Antronne Shellington of Conyers, Georgia.
The encounter happened Monday around 10 a.m. A caller reported that the suspect was acting erratically and seemed under the influence of an unknown substance, county police said.
The caller also alleged that the suspect had a handgun in his waistband, officers said. Authorities later learned that it was really an airsoft gun.

Police approached the suspect near the Buffalo Wild Wings in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle. Officers said the accused man then ran into the mall and discarded the BB gun, which looked like a black semi-automatic pistol.
Authorities said they caught and arrested the suspect after a short chase on foot.

The gun was a replica Sig Sauer 365 air pistol, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said.
