Arundel Mills Unveils Veteran Parking Spaces
Arundel Mills Mall to designate veteran parking spaces in ceremony honoring local WWII vet.

From Arundel Mills: Arundel Mills, Maryland’s largest outlet and value retail shopping destination, announced today that the center will now offer designated Veteran Parking spaces. Located throughout Arundel Mills’ seven parking zones, the spaces will feature special signage noting their veteran designation.
“Arundel Mills is a proud supporter of our surrounding military community,” says Gene Condon, Vice President and General Manager of Arundel Mills. “It’s important to us to show our appreciation for our local military families and veterans, through our existing Military Discounts, and now through our designated parking spaces.”
In celebration of the launch, Arundel Mills will be honoring local veteran, Emmanuel “Manny” Airey, in a ceremony taking place Thursday August 2, 2018 at 10 a.m., in the parking area between Cinemark Egyptian 24 Theaters and Dave & Buster’s.

An active member of the VFW and the Marine Corps League, Guest of Honor, Airey, served in the U.S. Navy during World War Two, and in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. The ceremony will be held on Airey’s 92nd birthday, where Airey will be presented the "We Honor Veterans Pin,” by the Veterans Administration, and help unveil the new spaces. Refreshments will be provided by both Starbucks and Nando’s Peri-Peri.
In addition to the new veteran parking spaces, August kicks off Military Back-to-School Month at Arundel Mills, where military families can receive a free gift card to one of six retailers just by visiting the Guest Services booth. In the fall, Arundel Mills will host the Marine Corps 5K on Sunday, September 30th, and will celebrate Military Family Appreciation Month in November with special promotions and events.
