Arundel Swimmers Get Past Glen Burnie, Fall to Severna Park

Arundel High split a dual meet and secured several individual wins.

The Arundel High swim teams each split a dual meet Saturday, earning convincing wins over Glen Burnie but falling to Severna Park. 

The Arundel girls beat Glen Burnie 69-25, while the boys won 65-25.

Severna Park topped the Wildcat girls 68-26, while the boys fell 68-26.

Arundel's Jess Roberts won the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:32:55, edging Glen Burnie's Elisabeth Cmiel by .25 seconds. 

Roberts also won the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:17:69.

Christina Wellner won the 100 meter freestyle for the Wildcats with a time of 1:02:34, more than 1.5 seconds faster than Severna Park's Amalia Gjerloev.

Wellner finish second in the 100 meter backstroke, with a time of 1:11.56.

Arundel's John Williams placed first in the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 1:06:43, nearly four seconds faster than AJ Libby of Severna Park. 

Daniel Nicholson won the 100 breaststroke for Arundel, finishing more than seven seconds ahead with a time of 1:14:30.
