Bank Robber Hits Officer with Vehicle; Shots Fired: Police
Police shot at a suspect vehicle in the armed robbery of Navy Federal Credit Union in Odenton Monday night.

A police officer was truck by a bank robber’s vehicle and officers shot at the suspect’s vehicle Monday night in Odenton.
According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Twitter feed, eastbound Burns Crossing Road was closed about 7 p.m.
Police located the suspect vehicle in an armed robbery at Navy Federal Credit Union, 2288 Blue Water Blvd., No. 490 in Odenton. One officer who was out of his vehicle was struck by the suspect’s vehicle and another police cruiser was rammed, authorities said.

Shots were fired by officers. The shots hit the suspect vehicle and not the suspect, who was taken into custody.
There is no information available at this time on the condition of the officer hit by the car, whether anyone else was injured, or the identity of the robber.
