I have been writing about professional abuse, Lynette's Law and the house bill for awhile now. The bill is being held up at this time and some are trying to kill this bill. We need everyone's help on this. A friend of mine wrote this on his Facebook wall and I decided to share it:
"Be a voice. Last year the House of Delegates (every single member) voted in favor of Lynette's Law, so I must wonder why some members of the House Judiciary Committee are trying to kill Lynette's Law.
Is it political pressure? Is it election year politics?
Get on the phone and voice your support of House Bill 33! Call the numbers below and let them know you want HB33 Lynette's Law to pass in order to protect patients from sexually exploitative mental health professionals!
Delegate Joe Vallario, Chairman 1-800-492-7122, ext. 3488
Delegate Lou Simmons 1-800-492-7122, ext. 3037
Delegate Curt Anderson 1-800-492-7122, ext. 3291
Time to Put People First! Anyone voting against this bill will find me in their office expecting an explanation of why they changed their mind and have decided sexual exploitation by mental health professionals is appropriate behavior. Thank you!"
He get's to the point on this and we should all listen. Please call the delegates and tell them that you support Lynette's Law and house bill 33. We need all of you to take a stand with us.
