A Look at Applebee's, Aquariums and Casinos

Applebee's in Crofton (Waugh Chapel) - They have taken down all of the dusty junk that has hung on their walls for God knows how long... They have some new items on their menu..and trying to change their image.   We go there often because it is consistent and they have employees who are dedicated and loyal to this restaurant.  We have always had excellent customer service.  On trivia night, the trivia guy could ask some easier questions to help our pride a bit though.. lol

Baltimore Aquarium (Downtown Harbor) - Pricey - $30 for adults and $20 something for kids..  I would suggest looking into a membership..  We purchased a membership for 6 of us for $159 that allows us to get into the aquarium for the next year at no charge and no line.  It would have cost us more if we would have paid for us to go just for the day. 

Dicks Last Resort (Downtown Harbor)- Says it in the name.. Only as a "last resort".  Appetizers were cold and your pressured into purchasing the $20 margarita.. I know rudeness and pressure is their mojo,  but the only way I would return is if it were for a birthday.

Maryland Live - If you go, park in valet (to the right as you enter garage).. It is only $5 and an elevator ride directly down to casino... My nick name for the place right now is Maryland Dead.. I walked out with nothing.  lol..  I played Grease and Bombers for a few hours..  Unfortunately, you pretty much have to go to the bar to get your drinks as the waitress/waiters are few and far between.  You are charged for your alcohol $5 each , even if you are playing.  A bit much when they are the size of the plastic cups at a water machine.  I will still go back, the people watching is amusing enough!
