Busy Holiday Weekend Sent the Piranhas to an Away Meet

The Piney Orchard Piranhas had an away swim meet on Saturday. Their schedule sent them to Fulton where they swam against the Maple Lawn Sharks for the second time this season. This was Maple Lawns first home swim meet EVER and we were excited to be their first guests at their beautiful eight-lane competition pool.

The Piranhas suffered a tough loss their first week against the Olde Mill Torpedoes and had a HUGE win this week even though several swimmers were out of town with their families enjoying the long holiday weekend. The Piranhas won 316-92. 

Several Piranhas qualified for the Straehle Invitational Meet which will be held on July 27 at Carroll Aquatics in Hampstead, MD. Those individual swimmers (so far) are Eric Daugherty, Ben Lenox, Sam Sokalzuk and Colin Sweetin.

Here are the relay teams that qualified (so far).

Mixed 8 & Under Team A:

Sam Sokalzuk, Paige Gonzalez, Katelyn Gruber and Eric Daugherty.

Girls 11-12 100 Relay Team A:

Makayla Mazzarello, Erin Daugherty, Jessica D’Apice and Emily MacMinn.
