Here We Go!
An introductory post on what I'll be blogging about. Come on in, I won't bite...
My intention was to blog much sooner than this, but such is life. With two little girls, a birthday this week and two photo sessions, time got away from me. Doesn't that always happen? Do good intentions count for anything anymore?
So, here I am, writing my first blog post. I'll be writing from a "mommy perspective" a lot of the time because, well, it's what I know. Don't worry, I won't get all "heavy" on you. Mostly this will be my open forum to complain about my kids. (All jokes, of course.) As a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom living in Piney Orchard, I know I'm not alone. I know lots of amazing moms who are also trying to maintain their identity while raising their kids in today's hectic world.
So, my goal for this blog is to hopefully write about things that are familiar, that resonate with other moms (and some dads) and maybe then we won't feel like "am I the only one? Is it just my kids?" I might even say what you're thinking but wouldn't utter in public. It's how I roll. I also love celebrities, movies books, etc. So we'll definitely be covering some of that when timely. Some of you may be familiar with my "Bachelor" Facebook page. It's a fun place for fans of the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows or if you just like to read snarky comments. The show starts-up again next month! I also love commenting on award show fashion and set-up a page for the night of the Oscars. Isn't it more fun to be obnoxious as a group?

(Editor's note: We wrote about this earlier this year.)
So, to sum-up. This is gonna be a fun blog. I welcome your comments. If you want me to cover a specific topic, let me know. Interaction is essential. Look for my posts at least once a week.

In the spirit of the holidays, I wanted to share information about two local organizations that could use your support this season:
- The Light House Shelter in Annapolis is looking for donations all winter long for their chronically homeless residents. Welcome items include long underwear, socks, and regular underwear for men, women and children. Also travel-size toiletry items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
- There was a great article in the Sun yesterday about being a Santa to a Senior this holiday season. Don't forget about this most important population. Through Dec. 12, you can choose a senior's name and wish list from a tree at these locations: Walmart, 7081 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover; Walmart, 407 George Clauss Blvd., Severn; Walmart, 6205 Baltimore National Pike, Catonsville; Kmart, 3255 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater; Kmart, 1647 Crofton Center, Crofton
