Piranhas Swim Season Ends With Big Win at Divisional Championships
The Piney Orchard Piranhas had a great end of year party last night at the Island Pool.
The Piranhas ended their season on July 31 at the Island Pool in Piney Orchard by hosting the Division IX Individual Championships. The swimmers did a fantastic job at the meet and if we were scoring as teams, it would have looked like this:
1. Piney Orchard Swim Team 261
2. Milford Mill Blues 156

3. Maple Lawn Swim Team 53
ALL of the Piranhas should be very proud of themselves! They improved their technique and cut their times as the season went on and had fun while they were doing it.

We could not have pulled off the successful swim season without our coaches Siobhan, Christina and Patty not to mention the parent volunteers who helped run our meets. If you are not in the summer swimming world, it takes approximately 20 volunteers per meet per team to run a swim meet. That's a lot of people to coordinate and train and without volunteers it's not possible to have a swim team. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Also, if you're interested in year-round swimming clinics or teams, please head to our website www.poswimteam.com for information on local teams in the area.
Look for us in the spring of 2012 to start registration for the summer!
GO PIRANHAS!
PS - I think I won the belly flop contest last night at the party :)
