I have been incredibly slacking in the blogging department.
I can't say it's due to not much happening, but rather, the exact opposite. It seems like so much is going on that I hardly have time to take a breath. However, I find that things are getting better finally. I think some of it has to due with things actually slowing down, but then part of it is the fact that it appears Spring has sprung!
While many folks are still cursing the changing of the clock, I am rejoicing over it. That extra hour of sleep that was lost that ONE single night is nothing compared to how wonderful the extra daylight is every night.
I find that during the Spring and Summer months my house is a little cleaner and my yard is a whole lot more bright.

Instead of being able to go home and pretend it is too late to do laundry (well, it seems that way when it's dark, right? LOL), I figure I have time to do at least one more load before I call it an evening.
I actually spend time outside working in the yard, and FINALLY get around to raking up the leaves that I never quite got to in October (hey, don't judge me. It's mulch, right? LOL). My bulbs are all coming up and the grass is getting as close to green as it is going to get :) I see a trip to Ace Hardware for fertilizer in my near future, in fact.
If you have used the darkness and cold weather as an excuse to stay inside and "keep warm" by not being active, it's time to let that excuse go!
Take a walk in the evening. Play in the garden and plant some flowers. Heck, just sit outside and read the paper and enjoy the sunshine and talking to your neighbors.
It would appear (knock on wood) that we are being given an early glimpse at the warmer weather. Let us not look a gift horse in the mouth.
Take advantage of it!
