Treasurers, Treasures Everywhere!
This Saturday, there are countless opportunities to find hundreds of treasures in Odenton.
It would be a perfect opportunity for a scavenger hunt! I bet if you made a list of odd items and set a time limit you could pull it off just to have something fun to do with your teens. You wouldn’t have to buy anything, just take a photo–or if you like it, you can buy it.
I would definitely start off at the Piney Orchard Community Association Yard Sale because it starts at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Community Center parking lot. There were 95 spots rented - that means 95 different homes have put their items, junk, stuff errr treasurers out for sale. The Piney Orchard Swim Team will be selling hot dogs, chips and soda during the morning and the MOMs Club sells great baked goods! My recommendation would be to plan on stopping at the MOMs Club table for coffee and muffin, make my your through the yard sale, then grab a hot dog on the way out because now there are at least two more stops.
My next stop up the street is the Waugh Chapel Swim Club because they’re also having a yard sale starting at 8 a.m. They have about 16 different tables of items for sale AND face painting. Not to mention, the swim and dive teams will be doing registration sign ups. From what I’ve heard, there will be two vendors there as well. Maybe it’s more food (You will start to see a trend here)!

Further down Waugh Chapel Road is the yard sale at The Courts of Four Seasons. They are also starting at 8 a.m., but I’m sure I’m not going to make it there until around 10 a.m. at the rate I’m going.
I’m not a big yard sale buyer, but I love to see what people have purchased and are now trying to sell to others because now it’s not cool anymore or they’re saying to themselves “what in the world was I thinking?”

Oh and don’t forget–the is tomorrow morning too! You can register on the spot at the school, just arrive before–you guessed it–8 a.m.! If you’re a runner or a walker, please sign up, you’re helping a great cause.
If you’re at the Piney Orchard Yard Sale early, come on by the Swim Team table, I’ll be selling hot dogs for a bit before I make my way down Waugh Chapel Road!
