Welcoming an Audience That Has Outgrown Spongebob
We introduce a busy mom and Piney Orchard resident.
I’ve never been good with writing introductions, so I’ll just dive right in. My name is Meryl, and I’ve lived in Odenton since 2001 when my husband and I moved here from Montgomery County. My son is in 2nd grade at Piney Orchard Elementary, and my daughter will be starting kindergarten there in the fall. And then we have two dogs and two cats to round out our family. Right now I work (very) part-time for a real estate broker, mainly assisting with rental properties we manage in Piney Orchard, and will be getting ready to get back into the work force full-time once school starts in the fall.
Being a stay-at-home mom and spending 24/7 with a four-year-old bundle of energy, I’m sure you can imagine that I have a lot of things on my mind just waiting for an audience that has outgrown Disney Channel and Spongebob! Obviously I may write about my children, but I have other concerns as well. Just off the top of my head, the school district budget and how the economy has changed our lifestyle come to mind. And probably some lighter things like how to keep two kids entertained for the summer, among other things.
I’d really like to thank Tim for giving me this opportunity, I’ve never been a blogger before and I’m looking forward to it!
