Where To Go (or not go) in Anne Arundel County

It has been so nice to go places and people ask me "why aren't you doing your blog?  We enjoyed reading it.."   I enjoy writing it and will give my honest opinion, good or bad but.. please remember, it is only my personal opinion and my personal experience...

Happy Hour Fun!!!

Houlihan's - 1407 S. Main Chapel Way, Crofton - Great happy hour specials with a very good menu of appetizers starting at $6.  We had lettuce wraps, wings and salad.  All were very tastey, the only thing  to get used to is how they sell their wings.  They are sold by the pound, not the quantity.  They have a few kinks in service that they need to work out, but understandably so being brand new to our community.  Great atmosphere!  Martini's are great and are a happy hour special on Thursday!  They also have $1 off wine/liquor or they have daily drink specials. 

J.Kings - 329 Gambrills Rd., Gambrills - They have come up with a unique Happy Hour idea..  Each Bartender has selected a charity they will represent.  Every Tuesday,  all summer long, each bartender will have their charity night from 6pm to close.  There will be local bands or artist, drink specials, food specials, give aways and 15% of every purchase made on the patio will go towards the charity for the night.  Here is a line up of the fundraisers planned over the next few weeks:

• 6/18 - Conner Care's
• 6/25 - Wounded Warrior
• 7/2 - Cancer
• 7/9 - Gambrill's Athletic Club  

Crofton Cantina - 787 Rt 3, Crofton - I can't help but to like this place!  They have some of the best burgers in the area!!  The owners and regulars who go there are some of the nicest, most welcoming people towards anyone that walks through their door!  It is a very casual atmosphere to sit at the bar or play some pool.. They have bands or karaoke on the weekends and sometimes horse shoes in the back as well as pool tournaments.  Don't just drive by the place and wonder..hmmm.  Go in and you will find your local "cheers" where everyone knows your name!  They really need our community support! 

Please remember to drink responsibly.  Do not drink and drive.  Every bartender at these locations are happy to get a cab for you!
