Broken Down Train Causes MARC Delays

A train broke down before Seabrook, requiring a rescue train. Many trains are now delayed.

Mechanical problems with a MARC train just south of Seabrook have caused big delays on the Penn Line this evening.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported that northbound train 530 broke down just before 5 p.m., requiring a rescue train to be sent out of Union Station in Washington, D.C.

The rescue train arrive just after 5:30 p.m. and passengers were transferred. The train began moving again at about 5:55 p.m.

The train pulled into Odenton at about 6:15 p.m. and was operating 75 minutes behind schedule.
