Chamber to Hold Anniversary Bash at Academy Yard

The is turning 50. 

The chamber will hold a celebration Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the site of the former Nevamar plant, near construction of the new apartments. 

Tables for the outdoor event are sold out, but it's still possible to buy a standing-room only ticket for $15. Admission includes BBQ, burgers, popcorn shrimp, and salads. There will also be a cash bar. 

Casual attire and comfortable shoes are encouraged. 

To attend the event, park at the lot across Telegraph Road. Off-duty police officers will be on hand to assist people getting across the street.
