Vandals Paint Male Genitalia On Chesapeake BMX Building
Two teenagers seen on security cameras at Chesapeake BMX in Severn are suspected of spray-painting male genitalia on the building.

SEVERN, MD — Two teenagers seen on security cameras at Chesapeake BMX in Severn this weekend are suspected of spray-painting male genitalia on the building. Club officials posted on Facebook that two boys likely vandalized the building at 726 Donaldson Ave. A $250 reward is being offered for tips that lead to the capture of the vandals.
Video shows two boys dressed in black with cell phones and aerosol paint cans defacing the building Saturday, one day before its youth racing event. Coaches and volunteers headed to the site to clean up the profane images and words before kids arrived.
"We average about 200 to 250 riders every race here and a lot of them are young kids,” BMX Head Coach Tom Scott told WMAR. “We can't have any of them seeing that."

The club has reported the graffiti to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, but no arrests have yet been made.
Club officials posted security video on Facebook along with an image they believe is that of the vandals. Scott says that if the boys are caught, he'd prefer to see them make amends for their actions through community service rather than having them face criminal charges.

And the Chesapeake BMX track posted a daytime image that officials believe is the culprits when they returned to check on their graffiti.

The facility was built to provide positive activities for youths.
"If we could have caught these kids before they pulled out the paint, we would have done the same for them that we've done for thousands of others, which is to open up the door to the barn that they painted and give them a bike and a helmet and said, 'Let's go have fun,'" Scott told WMAR.
Anyone who can identify the youths or has any information about the vandalism is asked to call Detective Dutton at 410-222-8772.
