Christmas Tree Lightings In Anne Arundel County Will Bring Holiday Spirit
Several Christmas tree lightings are scheduled in Anne Arundel. Residents can enjoy these events in Annapolis, Gambrills and Glen Burnie.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Christmas is almost a month away. Marylanders can welcome the holiday season with these Christmas tree lightings in Anne Arundel County.
Annapolis
Date: Sunday, Nov. 28
Time: 4:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Location: Annapolis Market House

Festivities: Carolers and musicians will perform at the Grand Illumination, which is led by the Annapolis Jaycees and the Downtown Annapolis Partnership. Hot cocoa, candy canes and crafts will be available during the free event. Santa Claus will swing by at 6:30 p.m.
Chabad of Anne Arundel County will light a large Menorah across the street at 6 p.m. This will follow the Menorah Car Parade, which leaves Safeway (2635 Housley Road, Annapolis, MD, 21401) at 5:30 p.m. and arrives at City Dock around 5:45 p.m.
The Annapolis Jaycees will collect donations of unwrapped toys and nonperishable food. This is part of the group's annual Angel Tree initiative to help families in need around the holidays.
Cornhill Street and Fleet Street will have limited closures during the celebration.

Gambrills
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 1
Time: 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Location: Waugh Chapel Towne Centre
Address: 1417 South Main Chapel Way, Gambrills, MD 21054
Festivities: Visitors can expect performances from Crofton cheerleaders, local Girl Scouts and the F.P. Dickens Carolers. Kriss Kringle will also make an appearance.
Guests can warm up with hot chocolate and cookies on the house. There will also be a giveaway.
Residents can attend the free gathering in person or they can watch the Facebook livestream.

Glen Burnie
Date: Thursday, Dec. 2
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Glen Burnie Town Center
Festivities: Families can visit Saint Nick or dance to tunes from The Groove Spot Band & Show. Parents can shop vendors at the holiday market while kids enjoy crafts.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department will collect gift donations to support Toys for Tots.
Complimentary parking is offered at the Henry L. Hein Public Service Building, located at 7480 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
The free event is hosted by Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman and the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks.
