County Police Open Station at Arundel Mills

The Anne Arundel County Police Department's crime prevention unit is now based at the mall.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s newly expanded Community Police Station at Arundel Mills was unveiled March 19 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The facility is now the home of the department’s crime prevention unit.

Now located on the west side of Arundel Mills adjacent to the existing mall security offices, the expanded station has been in development for some time.

Since Arundel Mills opened nearly 15 years ago, the two entities have collaborated on several security and educational initiatives to safeguard the local community, the county says.

This 24-hour policing station complements Arundel Mills’ security program, which features an interior and exterior video surveillance system, a roving security team with a fleet of assorted vehicles, mobile security towers and ongoing staff education to maintain the safety of all shoppers and employees.
