Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a Severn man accused of robbing a CVS store.

SEVERN, MD — Anne Arundel County Police have charged a Severn man in the armed robbery of the CVS pharmacy at 2600 Annapolis Road in Severn. The holdup happened on May 23 and police released a security camera image of the man suspected of the robbery a day later.

On Tuesday, detectives conducted a search warrant at the residence of William Thomas Beaver, 55, of the 1800 block of Cedar Drive. Police say he was taken into custody without incident.

Pharmacy staff told police that Beaver entered the store carrying a knife and demanded cash from the cashier, authorities say. When the cashier shouted, the robber fled without taking any money.
