DC Man Charged In Odenton Robbery
A would-be robber fled when a man he demanded cash from in Odenton refused the order, police say.

ODENTON, MD — A would-be robber fled when a man he demanded cash from in Odenton refused the order, Anne Arundel County Police say. The hold-up happened May 18 in the 1500 block of Annapolis Road in Odenton. The victim told police he was approached by the suspect, who demanded money. When the victim refused, the robber ran off.
Several officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No weapon was displayed during the encounter and there were no injuries.
Later in the day, the would-be robber was identified as Jonathan Maurice Long, 34, of the 5900 block of Southern Avenue SE in Washington, D.C. Officers located Long in the area of the robbery attempt. He was identified by the victim as the robber and arrested without incident.
