The new traffic pattern at the interchange of Arundel Mills Boulevard and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway went into effect Monday.
The new "diverging diamond" traffic pattern near Arundel Mills opened Monday, offering a different way for motorists to get to and from the mall area.
With , the new traffic pattern is supposed to make it easier for people to get on and off the highway.
