Emergency Road Closure to Mean Delays for Schools
Anne Arundel County Public Schools are warning Crofton area parents that buses will likely be delayed as repairs continue through Monday.

Emergency repairs under way to a pedestrian bridge mean a Crofton area road will likely be closed through Monday, causing delays for area school buses.
Riedel Road is closed between Johns Hopkins Road and Chelmsford Drive. The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works estimates that the road will remain closed through Monday afternoon.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools says this will likely cause significant delays in bus transportation for students at Arundel High School, Crofton Middle School, and Crofton, Nantucket, Crofton Meadows, and Crofton Woods elementary schools.

Parents should consider alternate means of transporting their children to and from school Friday and Monday. All buses will make all stops on each day, but there may be delays in getting to those stops.
In cases where buses are delayed in getting to a school to pick up children, school officials say children will remain supervised at their school until buses arrive. Children who are late in getting to school because of bus delays will be allowed to make up any missed work.
