
Annapolis Area Christian School's (AACS) Alumni Association and athletic department will kick off Homecoming weekend honoring some athletic alumni.
A banquet will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie to name six alumni to the AACS Athletic Hall of Fame this year.
The AACS Athletic Hall of Fame was created to recognize inductees for their contributions to their sports and the school during their academic years and to preserve the history of Annapolis Area Christian School athletics. According to a press release from the school, the inductees exemplify the school's commitment to academics, community, sportsmanship and athletic excellence.
These are the 2011 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees:

- Gina Brown, Class of 1998 - basketball and volleyball
- Paige Cheek, Class of 2003 - basketball and soccer
- Brian Dennstaedt, Class of 1997 - basketball and soccer
- Todd Painter, Class of 1992 - soccer and wrestling
- Josh Palumbo, Class of 1996 - soccer and wrestling
- Ashleigh Verrillo, Class of 2000 - basketball and volleyball
Inductees into the 2011 Athletic Hall of Fame Class will also be honored during halftime at the Homecoming football game on Friday, Sept. 30 when the AACS Eagles play St. John's Catholic Prep. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Arundel High School.
