Archbishop Spalding High School will induct three distinguished individuals into its Hall of Fame on Sunday, Jan. 8. Recognition is based on leadership, service and character.
The first inductee is Coach Michael Whittles, Spalding’s varsity football coach for 13 years. The Distinguished Alumnus is Stephen Kelly Sr., class of 1979 and former board member. The Archbishop Spalding High School Outstanding Parent is Kevin Kerley, chairperson of the Cavalier Open Golf Tournament. According to a press release from the school, the three inductees have demonstrated their commitment to Archbishop Spalding by volunteering their time, talents and energy.
The day of their induction will start with Mass at 11 a.m., celebrated by Father Tom Ryan in the new athletic center. The induction ceremony will follow at noon and end with a light reception.
