Beauty and the Beast on Ice

Kyia Futrell, of Severn, will play the role of Lumiere in the theater-on-ice production of Beauty and the Beast on Ice March 24 and 25th at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD.

Miss Futrell, 16, a sophomore at Old Mill High School, has competed as a figure skater in regional and national competitions and is a veteran player in previous Gardens Figure Skating Club ice shows.

The Gardens Figure Skating Club's eighth annual ice show is a figure skating portrayal of the classic French fairy tale. It features over 60 skaters, age 3 to 55, performing to music from the 1991 Disney hit movie and the long running Broadway musical adaptation. Skaters range in skill level from beginner to national level artistic, theater on ice, and synchronized skating competitors.
