The Fort Meade library will offer too book signings by local authors. Both are open to the public.
- Author James Battee will sign copies of his novel, "Double Trouble on Corned Beef Row," on Sept. 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Medal of Honor Library. This is Battee’s first novel, which is set in Baltimore.
- Author Mary Doyle will sign copies of her book, "I’m Still Standing," on Sept. 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Medal of Honor Library. "I’m Still Standing" tells the story of Shoshana Johnson, the first female black prisoner of war in United States history. The book, co-authored with Johnson, was nominated for a NAACP Image Award.
