Right now the Anne Arundel County community has the unprecendented opportunity to help advance cancer research:
The American Cancer Society's Cancer Prevention Study-3
(CPS-3) is a historic research study that allows those who have never been diagnosed with cancer to participate
first-hand in a landmark research study to help researchers find the genetic, environmental, lifestyle and behavioral factors that may cause or prevent cancer.
Participant’s commitment to the study will involve completing periodic follow-up surveys every two years for 20 to 30 years.
Individuals may choose to volunteer to participate in CPS-3 if they:
-Have never been diagnosed with cancer (not including basal or squamous cell skin cancer)
-Are willing to make the long-term commitment to the study
-Are between the ages of 30 and 65
Enrollment will be taking place at Heritage Community Church on Sunday June 10th from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM and Tuesday June 12th from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM
