Vocabulary Parade

On Oct. 28 at 10 a.m., Waugh Chapel will hold its annual Vocabulary Parade. This parade is part of our school’s continuing emphasis on vocabulary development as outlined in our School Improvement Plan. This is the parade's 4th year, and it is eagerly anticipated by the students each year. The idea for the parade comes from the book "Miss Alaineus" by Debra Fraser.

All students, grades K-5 will choose a vocabulary word to learn and create a costume, hat or poster about the word. They will teach the word to a buddy class and then we will parade around outside of the building to share our learning with others. Spectators are welcome to assemble outside of the building beginning at 9:50 a.m.
