Exxon Station Robbed 3 Times in 24 Hours
Anne Arundel County Police have arrested three men for allegedly robbing the Hanover gas station, but it was held up again Friday.
Despite the arrest of three men, a Hanover Exxon gas station was robbed again Friday morning, the third hold-up at the business in 24 hours.
Anne Arundel County Police are searching for the most recent robbery suspects, and investigating whether the three crimes are connected.
The station in the 7600 block of Arundel Mills Boulevard was robbed by two men, one of whom was carrying a knife, about 6:30 Thursday morning. Despite a search of the area, police didn’t locate the duo.

Then just before 10 p.m. Thursday, three suspects robbed the station. Police swarmed the area and chased down a 2011 Jaguar that eventually became stuck in the median of Route 295 south near Powder Mill Road. Both the car’s driver and passenger were arrested.
Back at the Exxon station, officers detained a man in a 2002 Infiniti after a witness said the man was involved with the Jaguar that had fled the scene. When police searched the Infiniti, they reportedly found a loaded 9mm handgun.

Both vehicles were improperly registered, authorities say.
According to police, the driver of the Jaguar is Demarcus Terrell Butler, 23, of 3412 Curtis Drive in Suitland, who was charged with multiple traffic violations, including fleeing and eluding police and suspended/revoked license. His passenger -- Desmond Torrell Butler, 22, of 3354 Curtis Drive in Suitland -- was arrested on an open arrest warrant.
The suspect with the Infiniti was identified as Javone Joshua Smith, 22, of 4919 Hilltop Terrace SE in Washington, D.C. Police charged him with possession of a handgun and vehicle registration violations.
But the crime wave wasn’t over for station employees. A third robbery call came in about 6:35 a.m. Friday when three men – one carrying a baseball bat -- entered the store and demanded money.
Police say the suspects took money from the business’ registers, jumped into a waiting blue Honda Pilot driven by a fourth man and fled onto Arundel Mills Boulevard toward Ridge Road.
Authorities broadcast a lookout locally and to surrounding jurisdictions as officers searched nearby highways and communities, but they were unable to locate the suspects.
The suspects in Friday’s hold-up are described as three black men who wore black masks, dark hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans. One of the suspects wore a red bandanna on his neck.
