Fire Consumes Severn Split-Level Home
A fire has damaged the first floor of a Severn home, making it unlivable for the two residents staying there.
SEVERN, MD -- Two Severn residents can no longer live in their home after a fire caused considerable damage to the first floor of their two-story split level home. The fire occurred June 16 at approximately 4:20 p.m. at the home at 1433A Watts Ave., Severn. Twenty-nine firefighters from several fire departments responded.
Both the resident and a passerby reported the fire. The resident noticed smoke coming through the vents in the hallway and a bedroom. A passerby noticed flames spewing from the front of the house. Firefighters quickly located the fire and put it out. The Red Cross is now helping the two residents who have been displaced.
