Piney Orchard Community Association Board Meeting – Hear the latest on the community’s transition to a new management company, and any other news in Piney Orchard. There is some time set aside to hear resident concerns.

County Council Meeting – Our local representatives will meet to discuss comprehensive rezoning in Districts 6 and 7.

When: Monday, 7 p.m.

Where: 44 Calvert Street, Annapolis.

Fort Meade Restoration Advisory Board Meeting – With plumes of  chemicals spreading into Odenton and the surrounding area, the RAB will update the community on efforts to contain and clean up the pollution. To see the agenda, click .

Where: Captain John Smathers Army Reserve Center. (Building 2118.) Route 175 between 20 ½ and 21^st Street.

Dedication of “Connor’s Corner” at Kaufmann’s – Five years ago, Connor Freed tragically drowned at a country club pool in Crofton. Kaufmann’s will dedicate their new outdoor patio in Connor’s name, and will unveil a special plaque. The event is sponsored by the Connor Cares Foundation, which seeks to promote safety education and training at public pools.  There will be drink and food specials.

When: Thursday, 6 p.m.

Where: Kaufmann’s Tavern, 329 Gambrills Road, Gambrills.

Wing Night for Charity at Kaufmann’s – Be the first to eat five pounds of wings in three minutes, and have the entry fee donated to the charity of your choice. Kaufmann’s will match the donation.
