PSAT’s at Arundel High

When: Wednesday

Where: Arundel High School

Arundel at Broadneck Football

When: Friday, 6:30

Where: Broadneck High School, Cape St. Claire

Details: In most years, this would shape up to be one of the most anticipated matchups of the county football season. But Broadneck’s having a tough year after losing a ton of seniors and its head coach. The Bruins (2-4) did manage a miraculous win over Annapolis last week, scoring two touchdowns in the final minute. Arundel (5-1) meanwhile, will look to rebound from a bad loss to Old Mill last Friday.

Fall Festival at Nichols-Bethel

When: Sunday, noon to 2 p.m.

Where: Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church

Details: The pumpkin patch will be open, and folks will be bobbing for apples and engaging in lots of other fun. We are told there will be pies available. And if you stay long enough, Rev. Humbert will cheerfully ask you to help rake his lawn.
