Details: This is the monthly meeting of the committee that reviews all development projects proposed in the Odenton Town Center. The meetings are open to the public and are a great way for residents to get the early scoop on development in town.

“Tuesday Topics” Breakfast, featuring Constellation Energy

When: Tuesday 8 a.m.

Where: Kaufmann’s Restaurant, 329 Gambrills Road.

Details: The West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly breakfast, featuring a talk by Bonnie Johansen, manager of public affairs for Constellation Energy. She’ll talk about the proposed merger between Exelon and Constellation and how it may impact the business community. Cost is $20 for members, $30 for non-members.

Arundel Football vs. Chesapeake

When: Friday, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Chesapeake High School, Pasadena

Details: It’s the second-to-last game of the season for the Wildcats, who are 7-1 and are poised for a berth into the Class 4A East playoffs. On paper, this should be an easy win for Arundel, but the team will want to avoid any slip-up heading into the season finale.

Fort Meade Halloween Fun Run 5K/Fun Walk

When: Saturday. Registration at 7 a.m., race at 8 a.m.

Where: Fort Meade Pavilion.

Details: The Fort Meade Run Series presents its second 5K of the fall, and all runners are encouraged to wear costumes. The run is open to the public.

Maryland Economic Development Week Events

When: All Week

Where: Throughout the state

Details: It’s Maryland Economic Development Week, and there will be events and conferences all over the state to recognize development projects. There are no specific events planned in Anne Arundel County, but the week wraps up at the Turf Valley Conference Center in Ellicott City on Oct. 28, when the Maryland Economic Development Association will hold its fall conference.
