Glen Burnie Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Near Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, MD — A Glen Burnie motorcyclist was killed in a morning accident Tuesday, Aug. 27, along Veterans Highway north of Benfield Road in Millersville. Brandon William Haney, 27, collided with a Chevrolet Cobalt that was turning into an Exxon station at 8556 Veterans Highway.

According to police reports, the 16-year-old juvenile driver of the Cobalt who was headed northbound turned left in front of the motorcyclist who was southbound and the two collided at approximately 7:08 a.m. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The juvenile driver was uninjured.

The preliminary cause of the crash was determined to be the juvenile driver failing to yield the right-of-way to the motorcyclist. The States Attorney's Office will review the case upon completion of the investigation by the traffic safety section.
