Glen Burnie Walmart No Longer Open 24 Hours

Nine stores in Maryland are cutting back on overnight operations.

Several Walmart super centers are reducing their hours starting this week, including the location in Glen Burnie.

These Maryland stores will no longer be open 24 hours, Walmart spokesman Brian Nick told Patch:

Nationwide, Walmart is rolling back round-the-clock operations at 40 stores. Other stores making the move away from being open 24 hours are in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

The change was made on a store-by-store basis after the company reviewed patterns of its shoppers, Nick told Bloomberg.

Walmart tested the schedule change in more than 20 locations “out west” during the spring, Nick said in an email to Patch.
