Grocer Signs Letter of Intent for Superfresh Site
Landlords are in negotiations to finalize a lease agreement, but declined to identify the potential tenants.

A new grocery store has signed a letter of intent to fill the space left by the old Superfresh store, the landlord said this week.
Officials from Nellis Corp., which owns the Odenton Shopping Center, told other tenants that it is in talks to finalize a deal with a "high-quality" grocer. The company also said it has a letter of intent for a portion of the space once occupied by Spunk Fitness.
Nellis representative Peter Federowicz said negotiations are ongoing, and declined to named which companies had signed letters of intent.

The Superfresh store , after its parent company declared bankruptcy. Since then, Nellis and broker KLNB have been aggressively marketing the site. Other tenants in the shopping center said they had been told there were numerous inquiries from grocers.
Spunk Fitness and KLNB was also engaged to lure a new tenant.

Nellis Corp. has made some cosmetic upgrades to the center in the last few months, including re-paving the parking lot and painting the main signage area.
