“It’s been emotionally and financially stressful,” Jaime Mench. “We had families and employees hanging on with us. I’m very, very relieved.”

The Menches said they were frustrated by the delay, but relieved now that the center is open and garnering interest from local families. Several parents came by for tours on Thursday, and many other families called after the center’s website announced the business was open. Jaime mench said she hoped to see the center at full capacity within two weeks. When full, the center will have ten employees including a director.

The center costs $290 per week for infants and $200 for children two and older.

“I think it’s definitely going to be very successful,” Jaime Mench said. “I think people were just waiting for the doors to open and see some action.”
