Look how much one person can do

Lynette's Law was started by one person.  She is a victim of therapist abuse and going through all that she did decided to start Lynette's Law to help others like her.  There isn't a lot of crisis help lines or help out there for professional abuse as she found out.  The laws allow a therapist to have a sexual relationship with their clients in Maryland.

Through all of this she has found many other victims out there and has helped them along their way too.  Showing them where to go and what to do.  Holding their hand to help them along.  Talking on the phone to wee hours in the morning.  With nobody else to turn to they turn to her and she was there for them although she still fought the emotions in her own world.

There were two bills that we fought for one was background checks and the other was to make it a crime for a therapist to have sexual relations with a client.  The first was passed but with a few revisions.  The other bill that deals with making it a crime was not.  We will be back in there next year fighting it again.
