Man Carjacks Delivery Driver In Severn, Proceeds To Crash Vehicle
A man stole a delivery car in Severn Saturday afternoon, police say. He then crashed into two vehicles, ejecting him from the driver's seat.

SEVERN, MD — An armed man carjacked a delivery driver in Severn Saturday afternoon, police say. After evading officers, the man crashed the car and was ejected from the driver's seat. His injuries are life-threatening.
The carjacking happened around 4 p.m. in the 1800 block of Eagle Court. The suspect entered the passenger side of the delivery driver's car, threatened the driver with a knife and drove away in the vehicle. The adult female driver of the car, a 2017 Honda, was uninjured.
Police spotted the car near the intersection of Reece Road and Telegraph Road and tried to pull it over. The driver fled onto Quarterfield Road, eventually escaping the pursuing officers.

Anne Arundel County police found the vehicle overturned on Quarterfield Road soon after. The driver crashed into a 2002 GMC truck and a 2012 Ford Fusion, ejecting him from the stolen vehicle.
A police officer gave the victim first aid until medics transported him to Baltimore's R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Police will charge the suspect when he leaves the hospital.
