Man Critical After Hit-And-Run Accident
Anne Arundel County Police say a Millersville man didn't stop after striking a man along Obrecht Road Sunday.

A Millersville man is in critical condition after he was hit by a hit-and-run driver Sunday, and charges are pending.
Anne Arundel County Police say Ryan Snyder, 24, of Brookwood Road in Millersville and a friend were walking west on Obrecht Road about 2:30 a.m. from Jumpers Hole Road. They were walking along the edge of the westbound lane of Obrecht Road when Snyder was struck from behind by a vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and remain at the scene after the collision.
Snyder was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma by paramedics with life-threatening injuries. At this time, his condition has improved and he is listed in critical, but stable condition, police say.

Officers found the suspect vehicle – a 1996 Chevrolet Impala -- parked on Paddle Wheel Court in Millersville. Evidence recovered at the scene of the crash was reportedly consistent with the damage seen on the vehicle and it was seized pending a search warrant. The 32-year-old registered owner and driver of the vehicle was contacted and interviewed regarding the crash.
The investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending a review by the State Attorney’s Office.
