Man Shot in Leg at Odenton Bar: Police
Anne Arundel County Police say a car was also heavily damaged by gunfire Sunday morning.

A Glen Burnie man is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg he suffered while in the parking lot of an Odenton bar.
Anne Arundel County Police were called about 1:44 a.m. Sunday to 1560 Annapolis Road for a report of a shooting that just occurred.
The unidentified victim, a 23-year-old Glen Burnie man, was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim told police he was in the parking lot of the My Place Bar and Lounge at 1676 Annapolis Road when the shooting occurred. The victim said he didn’t see who shot him.

The Glen Burnie man was taken to Bowie Health Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. No other injuries were reported.
Officers were also called to 8374 Piney Orchard Pkwy. for a report that a car was destroyed by gunfire. The reporting party said they were at My Place Bar and Lounge and believed the vehicle had been damaged by gunfire.

Police said the damage to the vehicle seemed consistent with gunfire. No injuries were reported.
The motive for the shooting appears to be over a dispute that occurred earlier in the day, authorities say. No suspect information is available at this time; the investigation is ongoing.
