Man Stabbed, Woman Hit by Fleeing SUV in Severn: Update
Two people were injured after an argument in Severn; an Odenton teen and a Brooklyn man have been charged in the assault, police say.

UPDATED at 2:10 p.m. SEVERN, MD — A man was stabbed then hit by the alleged assailants' SUV, along with a woman also struck by the vehicle, as the suspects fled the scene after an argument in Severn, according to Anne Arundel County Police. A teenager from Odenton is in custody, along with a Brooklyn man; an Odenton man previously arrested by police in the case has been released without charges.
Police say the assault/stabbing happened about 5 p.m. Monday on Richfield Drive. As officers arrived, several suspects were identified by witnesses. The suspects drove away in a blue Ford SUV on Richfield Drive and turned onto Pioneer Drive; the SUV was eventually stopped a short distance away in the Still Meadows community. All of the occupants fled on foot, but were quickly caught by police.
Investigators say the stabbing took place after an argument near 1713 Richfield Drive. The adult male victim from Severn was stabbed during the argument and then struck by the fleeing SUV. A Glen Burnie woman was also struck by the vehicle and injured.

The male victim was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment, police say, while the injured woman was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment. Both suffered what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are still interviewing multiple witnesses who saw the assault.

Early Tuesday police said the had arrested James Noah Coutourier, 19, of the 2600 block of Rainy Springs Court in Odenton, but he was been released without charges.
Suspects charged overnight are:
- Thomas Brooks, 35, of the 3200 block of Gulf Port Drive in Brooklyn, who was charged with negligent driving, reckless driving, failure to return to bodily injury crash, failure to immediately stop vehicle after bodily injury crash, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault (2 counts), and second-degree assault (2 counts)
- A 17-year-old male from St. Michaels Circle in Odenton was charged on a juvenile citation for possession of marijuana over 10 grams and released to his mother.
