Maryland Live! Hotel Job Fairs Under Way

HANOVER, MD — Job fairs are under way and run through mid-April as the new Maryland Live! Hotel fills 500 positions. Developers are building a $200 million hotel adjacent to Maryland Live! Casino there; the 310-room hotel is slated to open this spring. The 350,000-square-foot complex will feature a 17-story hotel tower, making it the tallest building in Anne Arundel County, with an event center, meeting spaces, new dining options, and a day spa/salon.

The flagship Live! Hotel's recruitment center opened Feb. 1 and is located inside the Arundel Mills Mall, near the Burlington Coat Factory; it is open to the public daily. Recruitment center hours are: Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Recruiters are available to help job-seekers with online applications and answer questions about the hiring process. Walk-ins are welcome. A bank of computers is also available at the Recruitment Center for use at no charge for applicants.

At each job fair, recruiters and hiring managers from Live! Casino & Hotel will interview candidates for full- and part-time opportunities. On-the-spot job offers will be made to qualified candidates.

Among the 500 new positions to be filled in the comings months are jobs in hotel operations and administration, banquets, bell, front desk, VIP services, entertainment, food and beverage, facilities, retail, environmental services, security and surveillance, information technology, and more.
