Maryland Professional Boards think they can keep the public safe

Lynette's Law biggest oppositions are the professional boards in Maryland.  They think they can keep the public safe from professionals.  But, can they really?  Check out some of their disciplinary actions:  Board of Psych http://dhmh.maryland.gov/psych/SitePages/disciplinarya.aspx

Board of Social Workers:  http://dhmh.maryland.gov/bswe/SitePages/PublicOrders.aspx

Board of Counselors/therapists:  http://dhmh.maryland.gov/bopc/SitePages/publicorder2011topresent.aspx

This is just to name a few of the professional boards in Maryland.  They allow some of these people to keep practicing, to practice without license, and to abuse their clients.  Do you think they can keep the public safe?  I don't.  We need Lynette's Law to pass and that will keep the public safe, when all of these professionals are behind bars where they need to be.

Do you think these people should be deciding what happens to people who abuse others?  Do you think they should be able to decide what happens when someone is sexually exploited by a professional?
