$1M Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Severn Convenience Store

A $1 million winning lotto ticket was sold in Severn. That Maryland Lottery player was one of 25 to take home a major prize last week.

SEVERN, MD — A $1 million winning lottery ticket was sold last week at a Severn convenience store.

The winner bought the Mega Millions ticket on Jan. 18 at 7-Eleven No. 25410, located at 500 Donaldson Avenue.

Because the participant won a second-tier prize in the national drawing game, the Mega Millions jackpot is now $421 million with a cash option of $290.9 million. The next drawing is Friday, Jan. 28 at 11 p.m. Participants can check their tickets and the current jackpot at megamillions.com.

The Severn payout was the Maryland Lottery's largest of the week. Five scratch-off players won $100,000 in Berlin, Clinton, Dundalk, Forestville and Takoma Park.

One Hanover participant won $50,000 on the Bonus Match 5 game. They bought their ticket on Jan. 20 at the Jessup Shell, located at 2753 Annapolis Road. That prize was unclaimed as of Monday.

Another player in Glen Burnie took home the top prize in the $10,000 Lucky game. That ticket came from Marley’s Convenience Store at 7900 Ritchie Highway.

These players were some of the 25 who won or claimed a prize of $10,000 or more. The Maryland Lottery paid more than $28.7 million in prizes in the week ending on Jan. 23.
