Lottery Jackpot Hits $400 Million, Buy Your Ticket in Odenton
The last winning ticket of the Mega Millions game was drawn on Oct. 1. Will there be another local jackpot winner?

After no one won the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday the jackpot for Friday surged to $400 million, the second-largest jackpot in the game’s history.
If one ticket hits all six numbers, the winner will have the choice of being paid in 30 annual payments, or taking about $216.4 million before takes in a one-time cash payout.
"The strong sales of Mega Millions tickets mean more than just an exciting jackpot," Paul Otto, lead director for Mega Millions group said in a news release. "They mean greater profits to benefit each state in which Mega Millions is played."

There hasn’t been a jackpot winner since Oct. 1. The odd of wining the jackpot are one in 259 million.
Who knows? Maybe the winner will be local.

In October, a Severn man won $189 million on a winning Mega Millions ticket purchased at a local convenience store.
And in August, a 67-year-old Odenton man won $77,700 by playing the 7x The Money Game.
