Arson At Father's Fort Meade Home Prompts Sentencing For Mississippi Son: Report

A Mississippi man will head to prison after admitting he set his father's Fort Meade home on fire, the Capital Gazette reported.

FORT MEADE, MD — A judge sentenced a Starkville, Mississippi man to prison after he admitted to setting his father and stepmother's Fort George G. Meade home on fire, the Capital Gazette reported last Thursday. Journalist Lilly Price identified the convicted man as 19-year-old Cornelius Hendrix.

Price mentioned that Hendrix will spend 37 months in federal prison for the August 2020 arson. Hendrix pleaded guilty this July, the news outlet noted.
