Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In Crash At Odenton Dairy Queen

An Odenton motorcyclist was seriously hurt when his bike collided with a car at the entrance to a Dairy Queen, police say.

ODENTON, MD — An Odenton motorcyclist was seriously hurt Tuesday night when his bike collided with a car turning into the entrance of a Dairy Queen, Anne Arundel County Police say. The accident happened about 9:15 p.m. on Annapolis Road near Odenton Plaza.

Police say a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Aaron Michael Daniel, 19, of Gary, Indiana, was southbound on Annapolis Road and attempted to turn left into the Dairy Queen parking lot at 1140 Annapolis Road. As Daniel turned, his car was struck by a northbound custom motorcycle driven by Jonathan David Kent, 28, of Odenton.

Kent was thrown from the motorcycl and suffered suspected serious injuries. He was taken by EMS to Maryland Shock Trauma. The driver of the Volkswagen was not hurt.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been a factor in the crash, police say. Any charges filed would be pending review by the State’s Attorney.
